“Customer support is Above Average.
Plans / Networks/ Is Substandard.
I lost my {ENTIRE TEAM} Of Doctors. Eight in one day! Specialists & this my PCP~!!
NONE TOOK MAGELLAN.
Perhaps they should pay the doctors on a timely basis.
My guess is that they will be out of business in less than a year.”

“Magellan is slow( if ever) to respond and slow(if ever) to reimburse. I would avoid credentialing with them at all costs.
Sounds like a company that just rips everybody off.” -
“Magellan is pitiful. I asked for a list of psychiatric providers that accept Care Plus insurance. They gave me 12 listings of which only 3 took Care Plus. The other nine did not and of those 9, 2 were actual hospitals that didn’t deal with specific doctors. 1 was a hospital pharmacy.
This is totally unacceptable. Since Care Plus uses Magellan, I recommend to pay an additional fee and get Humana. Care Plus (a supposed Humana sister company) sucks.”
“This company dropped a therapist that I was using and didn’t TELL me until I had charges in the hundreds of dollars. When when I called to discuss the issue and try to get a single-case exception, they said they would call back and NEVER did! After years of going to a particular therapist, they didn’t CARE that I had a relationship with my doctor.
Magellan does NOT care about their policy holders. HORRIBLE company!”
