Hudson Health Care Plans

Hudson Health Care works in conjunction with three state funded programs: Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Family Health Plus.

Eligibility is determined by the number of people within a family, the income of the family, the ages within the family, and county of residence.

Hudson Health Care Programs

Through Hudson Health Care, individuals can receive medical coverage from participating providers and hospitals. Dental, vision, and behavioral health is also covered under the various plans.

A list of participating providers can be found on the website. Simply input the provider’s name to determine if he or she is part of the Hudson Health network.

Once you qualify for a plan, yearly recertification is required. The necessary forms to file for recertification can be found on the Hudson Health Care website. Many of the forms can be downloaded in English or Spanish.

Hudson Health Care Pharmacies

Pharmacies that are part of the Hudson Health Care network can be viewed on the website. Type in your group number and the pharmacy you are searching for to determine if it is a participating pharmacy. You can also view a list of pharmacies by address.

Rather than driving to a pharmacy, policyholders can also take advantage of the mail order pharmacy to fill prescriptions.

In addition to listing participating pharmacies, the website also provides a formulary of covered prescriptions for policyholders to view.

Hudson Health Care Medicaid

The first plan under Hudson Health Care is the federal and state sponsored Medicaid Managed Care. There are no premiums with Medicaid, but co-payments are required.

Medicaid covers most medical, vision, dental, mental, and speech needs. Medical needs include diabetic care, emergency room care, hospitalization, and physician care. Diagnostic testing is also included as well as medical equipment, prosthetics, and orthotics. In home care is also included to provide nursing care, home health care, and hospice services.

Hudson Health Care Child Health Plus

Hudson Health Care Child Health Plus is a medical plan for children under the age of 19 who do not have access to private medical insurance or qualify for Medicaid. Medical coverage includes physician visits, well check-ups, emergency care, and pharmaceuticals. Hudson Health Care Child Health Plus also provides vision, hearing, and dental benefits. A full list of benefits can be viewed on the company’s website.

Under the Child Health Plus plan, there are no co-payments but there are premiums. Premiums vary depending on household income and family size.

Hudson Health Care Family Health Plus

Hudson Health Care Family Health Plus is a medical plan for adults who do not have access to private medical insurance or qualify for Medicaid. Medical coverage includes but is not limited to doctor’s visits, well check-ups, hospitalization, and pharmaceuticals. A full list of plan benefits can be viewed on the website.

Under the Family Health Plus, eligible individuals must be over the age 18, single or married with no children, or have children but do not meet Medicaid qualifications. Income qualifications are listed on the Hudson website.

Similar to Medicaid, the Family Health Plus plan does not require premiums, but there are required co-payments.

Hudson Health Care claims are handled directly by Hudson Health Care. Providers submit claims directly to the company for processing. Hudson Health Care Premiums can be paid online with a debit or credit card or at the branch offices.
