Time Health Insurance Plans
Assurant individual health plans underwritten by Time Insurance are available for as low as $120.88 per month. This rate is quoted for a $2,000 deductible with an 80/20 payment plan. This means that the insurance company will pay 80% of your covered benefits once you have satisfied all of the requirements. You are then responsible for the remaining 20%. There is a $2 million dollar lifetime maximum on this plan. Renewals are guaranteed but the rate can change every 12 months, 24 months, or 36 months depending on the plan. Pre-existing conditions are excluded from every policy for twelve months.
Worldwide coverage is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You have a choice of providers from the network and you do not need a referral for a specialist. Individual health plans are available in all states except Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Short Term Health plans can be obtained for a term of six months or less. They are not renewable but if your health conditions remain relatively unchanged you may apply for a new Short Term Health plan when your current one expires. There is no underwriting for these plans but pre-existing conditions are not covered. Coverage can be obtained for a minimum of $62.09 per month and are not currently offered in Connecticut, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and Vermont.
Health Access Plans have three price breaks and utilize the MutiPlan Network for negotiated discounts on medical care services. Medco® offers discounted prescriptions through participating pharmacies. Patient Care is a help line that is available to answer your medical questions twenty four hours a day. Non emergencies can be treated for a reduced rate through Retail Health Clinics and discounts are also available for select diagnostics such as radiology.
Discount Plans are not insurance plans, but have prearranged discount services for prescription, dental, vision, and medical needs. The Prescription Discount Plan can save a participant 10% to 60%. The Dental-Vision Discount Plan can save a participant ten to sixty percent on vision and 15% to 50% for dental. The Medical Discount Plan offers savings of 10% to 40% for participants.
