“Good luck dealing with this company. I had no problem last year. This year has been a nightmare.

I have been trying to get a mammogram refund for three months. First, I got a rude letter telling me that my policy only paid for intensive care. It was surly and unprofessional. I had sent in the mammogram bill. A few days later I sent a bill for the radiologist’s reading.

After receiving the surly letter, I received a check for the radiologist, but not the mammogram. Three months later, I am still trying to get reimbursed. They asked for a more detailed bill. I called the hospital, got one, mailed it and I am still waiting to hear from them.

If it is this hard to file a claim, I may drop the insurance altogether. After all, how do you fight and insurance company if you are fighting for your life?”

  2. Janet Goins says:

“If you experience problems with insurance companies, you can file a complaint with your Public Protection Cabinet, Dept. of Insurance (Kentucky’s name but may be different in other states). The Dept. of insurance regulates insurance companies and who does business within each state, so insurance companies take complaints very seriously.

If you are a Conseco policy holder in KY, you may have experienced a rate increase and due a refund.

Although Conseco’s call center goes to the Caribbean and no US phone number is listed, you can try calling 800-541-2254, extension 76609 for Mr. Blake Walker. Conseco’s address is 11825 N. Pennsylvania Street, Carmel, In 46082.”

My father is 96 years old! He paid into the company for 30 to 35 years. Over $400,000. I CAN NOT GET THEM TO ANSWER questions. I will get to the bottom of this. I will sue them for every penny!
