Many of the doctors listed do not take new patients with this insurance. Tried to get a PCP that was listed but they only take new patients with other insurances. This insurance pays almost nothing to the doctors so many will not take new patients. And being on disability I can not afford to pay a doctor in full. The only reason I have this insurance is because it is better than none at all and it's all I can afford.

Americhoice misleads the individual by having United Healthcare appear in bold letters on their id card and americhoice in very small letters at the bottom of the card. At best this is a innocent error at worst it should constitute fraud. If you tell a doctors office you have United healthcare and make an appointment you will invariably find out that they are not an americhoice provider. You should check out their website for participating providers before making an appointment. Even this is not a guarantee because they have expired/retired doctors on the website as participating

I don't know the plan and am shopping for one. I think it is asinine to rate an organization a one star and ask if one's husband qualified for the plan. So I feel I need to conter-rate to avoid misleading others who are seeking guidance. Common, Ms. Breaux. What are you thinking!
